I would like to welcome you on behalf of the children, staff and governors to Denholme Primary School. Hopefully this website will provide all the information you need about our welcoming and vibrant school.
At Denholme we say we want our children to be ‘Happy Learners and High Achievers’. We challenge them to be creative, to be aspirational and most importantly to be resilient when faced with difficulties. We have a straightforward approach that promotes hard work and kind behaviour and encourages children that when faced with a problem you talk about it and try and find solutions.
We also have a Resourced Provision for children with autism and the way we try to approach the education of these children benefits all the children in the school. Our pupils are tolerant and understanding of difference and work well together when learning and playing.
If children are to succeed, a strong partnership between dads, mums and carers and the school is vital. We encourage and support parents to get involved in their child's education and are always open to suggestions or to discuss any issues as they arise.
We are proud to be one of the six schools within the Nurture Academies Trust with Lapage, Parkwood, Byron, Victoria and Fearnville Primary schools. Our commitment to the Nurturing approach supports everyone within these schools. The Trust was formed so that by working in partnership we can improve the educational outcomes for children in all the schools and promote strong links between children and families from different communities and areas of the Bradford district.
If you are a prospective parent please feel free to contact us and ask any questions you may have. We look forward to talking to you.
