Our key texts:
Jake Bakes a Monster Cake, The Very Helpful Hedgehog, Owl Babies, The Christmas Story
We are investigating numbers 1, 2 and 3, finding number in our environment, exploring what 1, 2 and 3 look like, looking at number patterns and also finding out about the circle and triangle shapes as we discuss how many sides they have. In maths, we will use the number line and sing nursery rhymes to learn 1 more and 1 less. We will begin exploring 4, 5 and 6 and 4 sided shapes before Christmas too.
Our visits and visitors:
Monday 6th November - HERBY (Hedgehog Emergency Rescue Bingley) will be bringing us a hedgehog as we learn all about animals that live in Denholme and how to look after them.
Monday 13th November - Denholme Church visit to learn about the Christmas story before our nativity performance.
